LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday issued notices to the attorney general and the advocate general on a petition demanding local government polls in cantonment areas to be delayed till new delimitation had been carried out. The petitioner said the cantonment board had not carried out new delimitation for the forthcoming elections. He said holding the polls without new delimitation violated the Constitution. He asked the court to delay the elections till the board had carried out new delimitations in the areas. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah issued notices to the officials for March 26 after hearing the arguments.
